How much time does it take to translate my document (s) / file(s) (turnaround time)?

Each document is different and each language service needs is unique. Some texts require more specialized terminology. Others may require research. And some may require special formatting/Desktop Publishing Services. In general, the capacity of a professional translator for a quality translation does not exceed 2000 source words/day. For certain documents - and requested delivery deadlines - more than one translator and proofreader/editor will have to be assigned to the translation task. We always strive to deliver the translated material to our clients within the requested time frame (turnaround time). As soon as we receive your specific needs and document(s) / file(s) we will be able to give you an estimate of the turnaround time.Top of Page

Who will translate my document?

Your document(s) / file(s) will be assigned to translators/language professionals based on the document(s) /file(s) type, technicality, volume, and desired turnaround time.Top of Page

How much will my translation cost?

Generally, translation costs depend on the volume (words/pages), technicality, formatting needs and turnaround time. For instance, the price for the translation of a general (non-technical) text will be less than that of a technical one (Seethe different types of documents and formats in Our Expertise and Services pages). However, if the general text requires special formatting (tables, charts...etc.) the cost of the translation will increase.Top of Page

Will you respect the confidentiality of my document(s) / file(s)?

Yes. We always respect the confidentiality and privacy of the document(s)/ file(s) submitted to us. In addition, we request that all the members of our team sign a binding NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) prior to undertaking any type of work with us (Privacy Policy).Top of Page

How can I pay for my translated document(s) /file(s)?

We currently accept two methods of payment. Payment through Paypal for individuals and non-established clients (Payment Options). Paypal is a highly secure payment portal and you can pay using Paypal even if you don’t have a Paypal account. A non-established client is a client who ordered less than 5 translations/language services. Established clients (usually renowned companies and institutions who ordered more than 5 translation/language services) can pay the translation/language service costs via a certified company check. Please note that we are unfortunately unable to start the translation/language service requested without receiving the client’s signed order form and upfront payment.Top of Page

Why do you request payment upfront?

We have strived to build a respectful and rewarding business model with the loyal network of translators who work with us. Our business model is built on trust and a true valuation of our team’s work. We, therefore, pay our team in advance because we trust their work and want them to be always motivated while working on a translation/language service project.Top of Page

When will work on my translation start?

Your translation/language service will start as soon as we receive your signed order form and confirmation of payment (Terms of Service). The time span between receiving your free price quote request and follow-up discussion will allow us to select the language professionals needed and schedule a tentative time slot for your potential order.Top of Page

How do you guarantee the quality of your translations?

We only work with professional, established translators/language professionals who went through a strenuous selection process. This is our first quality filter. Once our translators/ language professionals finish a task, our quality control team will run a second filter to ensure compliance with our quality standards. Additionally, our business model does not aim to attract one-time clients. Our objective is to always earn the trust and loyalty of our clients. This is why all feedback, comments, modification requests are welcome after the final delivery of the translated document (s)/file (s).Top of Page

What is the difference between editing and proofreading?

Editing is the first step in perfecting the translated text. It involves a focus on the flow, terminology, contextual mistakes and a certain level of linguistic research. Proofreading is the next and final step in the translation process and is more about form than terminology. It involves checking for  spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation errors and checking the translated document against the source and ensuring that everything is correct.Top of Page

What is a “rush job”?

A rush job is simply a translation/service language task that needs to be delivered much sooner than the normal turnaround times. For instance, translating 2000 words in 24 hours is not considered a rush job. However, translating 2000 words within 6 hours is considered a rush job or work. It involves assigning more translators to the fast and is, therefore, more costly than a normal turnaround translation request. That said, we do not accept all rush jobs because some would be impossible to do in the time frame given. An example of an impossible rush job is requesting the translation of a 20000-word contract within 24 hours. We reject such requests despite the financial loss of doing so because the quality of the translation may be affected.Top of Page

Do you use  machine translation?

No. We neither use nor promote the use of machine translation. We believe that no software can truly translate a human language. This is especially true for a language as rich and  complex as Arabic. For instance, there are tens of names that mean “lion” depending on the state, color, age...etc. and a machine cannot know which word to use. Only an native Arabic translator can truly translate to and from Arabic.Top of Page
